Went to Fuddruckers (home of the softest, fluffiest, most delicious pillow-of-a-hamburger-bun known to man) with my family to celebrate Oregon's birthday (also sometimes referred to as Valentine's Day).

When we got home, mum gave us all a little stash of gifts, as is tradition. Love you, mom!And after that, Jessca and I went to a dance hosted by Hillsboro Community Arts at Century High School where there was supposed to be live music and dancing. Turns out, it was a bunch of old people (which was kind of cute and kind of funny, but mostly just kind of sad). So we ate cheesecake, had one dance (haha), and then made a couple of Valentines (and I concluded, yet again, that crafts are not my forte).

  1. I really really really like/want those shoes. were the old people like, cute old people or people our parent's age? because it would have been really sweet to see the elderly dancing to like, big band and the like.

too bad you didn't take your camera...?

  2. hahaha, that's the EXACT scenario that my friend Chantel and I were in last weekend. we went to this banquet to crown her aunt and uncle as mr. and mrs. spring valley, and expecting a fun dance or something. but no, the place was outnumbered by old folks. they were sweet and all, but their music was pretty foreign, so we just sat....and watched. I understand the "cute and funny, but mostly just kind of sad," waaaay too well.

It mostly consisted of old old people, so that's what was cute...there was one point where there was just one really old couple dancing, and it was pretty adorable. But yeah.
And I know, I was pretty sad I didn't! I had no idea what the set-up would be like, and I didn't want to be stuck carrying it around. Turns out it probably would have been okay.

Nohea: Hahahah...wow! That's really funny we had such a similar experience.
